First vape mail in ages

First of all, thanks to paulymeatballs for the great review that made me think of getting one, and thanks to fiddles for linking the FT one

The Orchid V4 arrived two days ago and is working a treat.

Kinda easy to coil
Good flavour
Hits like a truck
No dry hits so far
Leak free so far

First of i will say that using it the normal way of vaping i don't see much difference between this and a basic kanger product but using it with DLI is jesus my throat and the vapor was intense (this is now my normal method when using it)

BUT the way i see it for just over £8.00 you get something that is more versatile than a kanger product and a lot cheaper

Also a big gratz for the speedy delivery from FT

This is my setup for it:




Not sure if i can go higher on the watts side of things, maybe paulymeatballs can give some info on that judging by the wire etc i am using above.....never really been a duel coil experimenter.

That is REALLY useful, especially being able to specify Kanthal in mm. Lots of posts/youtubes of folk using '26 gauge kanthal' is that AWG or SWG, have to think how does it convert to the stuff I have that's on mm-marked rolls...

Super-Shiny that's awesome, I love to hear that people have bought a product after seeing one of my reviews and are happy with it. I really did rave about this one They're my fave RDA right now, got 3 orchids on the go at the mo !
Sounds like a very solid build you have there. 20 watts sounds about the ticket to me but of course it all depends on your vaping style.
£8 for a top performing atty like this is bonkers!

Self-quote for the lose but... good grief, dialed in a dual coil, .3 mm kanthal, target 0.4 (for teh cloudz!!!111) and it came back with 5 wraps. Good grief, least number of wraps I've ever done is 7. No wonder my home mades have been a bit weaksauce...
