OneZeroNyne - I was quite asthmatic when a smoker, on the blue Salbutamol inhalers, and hardly use them these days. I also experienced 'conversion coughing' until I got used to things - only took 24 hours. You'll find that stronger (higher mg juices) will cause a cough, but higher VG will produce more vapour but less throat hit, so might be worth checking out higher VG juices. As others have already said, it will pass and as a result you will find that the cough gets less. I still get a bit 'chesty' if I vape a lot on my dripper, which has a more direct effect, but in the normal course of things, the wheeziness is radically reduced. Go for it!!

Even E-lites made me cough a little. I had to learn a new way to inhale vapour. Simply put; as nice as it is to recommend mid-level kit to new vapers, lots of vapour (compared to a plastic stick) takes a bit of getting used to. Somebody came on UKV saying "I hate my iStick with mini Nautilus, me and my GF are going back to smoking".... well, after I unwrapped my iStick and put a m.N. on top, I vaped it at the lowest setting. Yep.... that's going to be too much for a new vaper to start off. It takes a while to get used to. (like it did with smoking, unless I forget...)

OneZeroNyne, I experienced the same. Asthmatic smoker here as well. Building up a stock pile of blue inhalers since switching to vaping full time. I found my chest was worse when duel fuelling ( smoking and vaping) but as soon as I stopped smoking, vaping seemed easier.

OneZeroNyne I have been vaping for almost 2 months (ny anniversary on Tuesday) and I still get a coughing fit if I try a direct lung inhale. You just need to find what works for you and you will find it fairly quickly. Just watch out for the dreaded shinyitis

This might not mean anything to you yet, but try a clearomizer/coil that has a higher resistance. 2ohms plus give no throat hit whatsoever. Me and the mrs hate the throat hit and she was quite put off until I found out getting a higher resistance eliminates that, no throat hit, no dryness, no catching you off guard and making you look like a fool coughing up your spleen

Wait until you get your first go on a dripper, I had my first proper toke a few days ago in my local B&M. Don't know what mod it was but it had a Plume Veil perched on top and was loaded up with Red Astaire, first I took a small mouth to lung hit and commented that it wasn't that bad. The guy then tells me to take a big lung hit which I did. It was like getting slapped round the face with a wet kipper. The lads in the shop seemed to find it amusing that I was having visions of chocking to death Anyway after ten minutes I was blowing clouds like a champ and I will probably invest in my first mech mod and dripper in the next few weeks.

The Plume Veil is a crazy thing Wh00psPart of the issue is that if you use the massive drip tip, it's almost impossible to inhale into the mouth first. I'm not sure I like it.

It had a smaller drip tip on it and the first big hit was still bad enough. Once I got the hang of it the flavour, vapour and throat were all pretty intense, I grew to like it quite fast
