Well, it's been a long time since I last posted, although I often log in to read and to keep up with things here on the forum. A few of you might remember me but I think most won't, especially as so many have joined since my last post.
I'm pleased to report that thanks to all the help and support I received from AAEC members, it's well over two years since I began vaping and smoked my last cigarette. I still find it hard to believe I finally managed to quit smoking after so many failed attempts and years of trying to stop. I've converted several people from smoking to vaping and helped others to move on from cig-alikes, or basic ego kits, to something better.
I soon moved on from using a basic kit to Spinners and Vivi Nova minis and even though I caught the shinyitis bug, buying different mods and clearos, I never really liked them and would soon go back to my old favourites. I hated the bottom coil clearos but I suddenly became dissatisfied with the draw on the vivi novas so decided to persevere with the protanks in my vaping drawer and once I'd learned to use them properly, soon fell in love with them. I never trusted myself to try making my own coils but I bought some of jonco's Unicoils because they looked so easy to re-wick. I don't know what I did wrong but I managed to kill every one of them when I tried, so had to go back to the Kanger heads.
I must have tried hundreds of different flavoured e-liquids but could never find one that kept me happy for any length of time until I found a particular cherry flavour which was fairly weak so not too overpowering for me. It soon became my ADV and I decided to take the plunge and get some of the same flavour concentrate and have a go at making my own juice. I'm glad I did because I actually prefer my own and of course, it works out much cheaper than buying it from the vendor.
Recently, I was about to send for some new Spinner batteries, then started reading about the new Eleaf iStick so decided to send for one of those instead. I teamed it with an Aspire Nautilus which I'd bought ages ago and never used. Wow! I was so impressed with them, I ordered more of each and my Spinners and protanks have already been relegated to the vaping drawer.
Well, that about brings me up to date. Sorry it's so long.

Welcome back....... jeanie, congratulations on still vaping and it's great when you can help others make the switch, and suggest better kit. I also like Kanger protanks, find them very easy to recoil, have another go.......if I can do it, honestly anyone can, just slowly follow the guide, don't put pressure on yourself, just make sure you have something to test them on before you use them. It's a good addition to vaping skills as you never run out of new coils, and once you get going, it's almost as easy as just changing the wick. Love your avatar......bet they've grown up a bit, or are they new ones?
