Need to vent my anger somewhere (apart from complaint form I just filled in) I'm big user of London buses and normally sing their praises, but what just happend beyond belief. Wanting to go to Stratford, I used my TFL bus time indicator app to see next bus 7 minutes, got to stop and few minutes later it arrives showing destination far short of Stratford, two ladies in front question this saying they also had used TFL service to get this bus, told bus immediatly behind going there, so we all get off. 15 minutes later another bus shows up displaying Stratford destination, as it pulls up driver changes destination to well short of Stratford again, 2 ladies get a bit upset and complain to driver saying they could have walked to tube station and been at Stratford by now, but trusted previous drivers explanation, his reply "either get on or get off your holding the bus up", then I had to join in, but as soon as I started to give opinion guy next to me in bus uniform said "if your going to argue we'll call the police", no probs I replied do it, the two ladies turned and said please dont it's not worth it and we still wont get there, wise words. So i'm back home, her birthday present not bought and bloody angry, and they wonder why people lose their temper with staff on transport, just teach them a little bit of PR instead of we'll have you nicked. This did happen once before when they decided to terminate a bus short of destination and refused an ongoing ticket, that time I jammed foot in sliding doors, then they did call the police, they rolled eyes and made the driver issue the ticket. Angry MP PS on the previous time I also complained, guess what no acknowledgement whatsoever.

Many MANY years ago I had the misfortune to travel from Crawley (Sussex) to Bude (Cornwall) by train, my (then) wife had 2 broken legs so I planned the journey with care, we had 2 stops, Gatwick & Reading, anyway we were delayed on the first train (only a 3 mile journey) and missed our connection to Reading, but managed to get on a faster, later train which meant that instead of a leisurely 20 minutes to change at Reading we had a 5 minute dash.
We arrived at Reading on time, asked an attendant which platform we needed for Exeter (where we had to meet a coach) and were told it was the platform "over the bridge" and the platform number, we then asked if he could hold the train as we had my disabled wife to get there, he said he would. My wife, myself, the 2 kids and about 20 other people (all from the delayed gatwick train) all 'rushed' over to the platform where we could see a train standing, we again asked the guard "Is this the Exeter train" and he agreed it was. So we settled down for our long journey, I say settled because there were no seats left and nobody offered my wife their seat so I stacked our suitcases and she sat on those.
The train leaves Reading and we're all relieved that the worst part of the journey was over... UNTIL... the tannoy broadcasts "Welcome to the non-stop Reading to Penzance train" Deathly hush as us 24 looked at each other. I was given the task of finding an inspector.
Lovely guy I found "Nobody would have told you this train stops at Exeter", well the guard at Reading AND the attendant we asked BOTH DID, "Impossible", "This train is direct and we CANNOT stop ANYWHERE, you'll have to go to Penzance then get a train back" I explained that by then we would have missed our coach connection and be stranded at Exeter, all 24 of us including my disabled wife, "Nothing I can do, sorry"
I went back and passed on the 'good' news then had a brainwave ..
I went back to the inspector and asked again if we could stop at Exeter "I've already told you NO" I then explained how the train WOULD stop there....
At the time the penalty for pulling the communication cord was £20, divide that by 24 people and that's a good deal, either he gets the train stopped at Exeter or WE WILL.
About 10 minutes later the tannoy announced "By special request this train will now stop at Exeter before continuing to Penzance"

QI had similar on Manchester to London train, asked information desk what platform XX sir, 10 minutes after due departure walked back to enquire where train was, oh that left from platform XX 10 minutes ago, platform number was about 8 out, so I asked pointing to person that told me why I was given wrong number, impossible the awnser, so caught next train, squeezed into only seat, then inspector arrives, your on wrong train sir, so I explained problem, sorry have to charge you £120 extra fair for wrong train, then everyone around me joins in, they had same problem, in the end he accepted must be problem, did I get refund from Virgin, did I hell. It's about time someone took responsobility for things, faceless complaints forms, if you can find them on websites (most bury them) not a lot of use, we want people to awnser questions, good or bad, nobody wants to be in posistion these days to awnser, appologise or explain. I try like hell to avoid any company that uses these tactics, but with transport, banking, utilities your not given choice.

I had a similar experience, and don't forget I used to work for the railways, Supervisory grades go from A to E with E the highest Was in Leeds for the day with wife & kid, got to station and no trains to London - told by enquiry desk to catch x train to Doncaster where the York - London would be held, so off we went, got to Donny and no London bound train for another 55 minutes, they had not held the train, so went to Supervisors office to ask for complaint form (yes I was entitled).
He refused to give me one because "you are staff" and then had the audacity to accuse me of being drunk, I'd had one pint all day about 4 hours previous, how he knew I was staff amazed me as well. Anyway we got into a bit of a 2 & 8 over whether he was right or I was ending with him demanding my Name and depot but refusing to give me his name. Turns out he WAS a Grade A, and after I had called my Manager and explained everything my Grade E won the battle, cheeky beggar - looked like the Fat Controller off Thomas the Tank, and I heard later that, that was what his nickname was.
