Hi. I am the proud owner of a philips streamium computerised stereo thingy which you can store all your music on and it can play cds and internet radio etc etc except it no longer does anything cos the power supply bit inside has died I have contacted philips and the can't do anything as as far as they are concerned it's obsolete! It's only just three years old. Apparently, according to various forums it's a case of dead diodes and resistors and weird electonic things with wires and solder and stuff that scares me that says to hell with you, you can't listen to that rubbish so we are going to pack up ::-( Question is, is there any of you guys out there on forum world brave enough to have a go at fixing it? I think I could remove said power bit from stupid stereo and send that bit only. Cheers.

Looks to be relatively straightforward to fix for someone who's better with a soldering iron than I am.

I'd have a bash for you. Would be great to get the iron out again. But leave it open for now, hopefully someone closer to you will pop in and take up this task
