How on earth do you take these apart? I've spent a good 30mins trying to take 1 apart to get to the wick. Any ideas?

Remove the centre pin. Remove the grommet, remove the coil. Simples. Unless you're talking about the 'upgraded''wickless' coils where this will be no help at all.

Depends, which version have you got? The newer ones are not easy to recoil.

OneZeroNyne - could you be a bit more specific over exactly which Kanger head you want to dismantle, please? There are at least 3 different designs and they all have their own foibles. Give us a bit more information, and tell us which tank they are for, and we can help you better ETA: oops, should have refreshed this thread first, sorry everyone who has just asked the same question as me!!

Bet it's the newest one, took one apart once, had too many chrome flacky bits floating around after the force/grips used I binned it. No way was I sucking on that again.

Hey guys , apologies on not being specific enough. My tank is the emow mega, might be the new coils, looks like the wick is built in. There's a grommet to take off but other than that, to the naked eye it looks like nothing else can be taken apart.

I have an aerotank mega and several aerotank, with them I use a basic pro tank single coil head (self micro coiled and wicked with cotton wool) and put an extra chimney cap on the chimney. Works perfectly and is cheap as chips, pretty sure this will work on the emow OneZeroNyne

Separate thy atty from the base unit, push the chimney firmly to one side, should come off easily exposing the wick and coil.
Take the rest of the head out the base, pull out the very bottom pin then the rubber/silicone insulator and the coil will come with it. Bear in mind this is the protank 1 head @spikeyfridge

Oh I'm on about the aerotank mega coils. Its the thicker bit covering the coil.

OneZeroNyne I'm sure we're missing something really simple but I can't get at the coils either

I don't think those completely enclosed newer heads can be rebuilt easily if at all.
I use the protank 1 head with the double chimney cap in the aerotank mega. @spikeyfridge

Seems a shame not to reuse them. I've got the protank heads and caps though so all good
