Just to be sure, don't use it until someone answers as it does sound like it could potentially be dangerous.

Doesn't buzz without an atty, but does buzz with any of the tanks I have, including the iClear that came with it?

I've done a bit more searching and found a few thread around which suggest that the slight buzz coming from around the fire button might be something to do with the pulse/width/strangeness that happens when the device fires. Something like, it delivers power and regulates it? No idea what they were talking about but does this make sense to anyone? I've emailed innokin for advice, but I'd like to know I'm not going to blow up, catch fire or otherwise disappear in a puff of burning battery. Maybe should also say, the batteries are from torchy, 18650 and 3400mah, but it buzzes with lower capacity batteries too. If it's safe, I can live with it. I like the vtr, in spite of it being heavy, it's good to have a mod with changeable batteries. Got a lovely vamo from a delightful person on here, but it's not really my cup of tea, so it's a gift to son. Really want the vtr to be perfect!

Pulse width modulation means, A device doesn't send the power you asked for, it sends it as an average. It pulses full power, and say for instance full power is 6v on and off. If it pulsed that at 50% of the time The result would be an average of 3v across the puff. The cycle speed needs to be fast For the average effect to work, so the more expensive devices the faster the pulse.

@johanino I have one on its way, daft thing is I've bought 3 of them now, one for the son, one for me......then sent mine to son cos his didn't work and neither did my vtr, so now have new vtr and need new airflow thing! (Also sent him the batteries so had to get more of them as well!) but I do like the vtr.
But you are definitely the vtr expert.
I'm also trying to make some sort of wrap/case thing cos I like sewing and a challenge! But that's on hold just now. It's tank and coil day today..........
It's still buzzing but I'm not worried..........much

Just a quick update.....I emailed innokin and today received this rather lovely reply I might add that their English is far superior to my Chinese, but I just loved the......voice of the current.....and I'm very happy that they replied so quickly
Hi Sue, Thank you for your email. If it was slight buzz, this is normal phenomenon. This is the voice of the current, it will not affect the performance and use. Thank you and if you have any questions please let me know. Best Regards,
