How bloody good is this stuff . Hardly any springiness . Easy to wrap and the most awesome thing - the flavour. 11-12 wraps , nice long coil, ohms around 1.4 -1.6 , lots of surface area, 30 watt box mod heats it up no problems and the smoothness and intensity of the flavour Yeh yeh I know it's ain't dripper flavour but something as simple as a change in kanthal can make a huge difference .

I have used it in a Kayfun, 4 mm btw, but i prefer twisted 0.27 mm for flavour in most everything cotton coiled, still not up to geni & steel wick flavour, for tobaccos anyway.

Sounds interesting. I need to order some more wire so might have to grab some. Really want to try some of this stuff but no idea where to get it in the uk. Think it is called clapton or fused clapton.

Had a bit of a boozy fasttech hit a couple of weeks ago, result being I have two brand new clone Kayfuns (still boxed) in front of me. They may have to be coiled with 26...

Anything has to be better than this stuff anyway 18G or 1.02mm, bloody effort for very little gain that was lol. I've decided 20G is the biggest I'll use from now on

Yeah those look like claptons rosco. Got the name because they are wire wound around a core wire, like guitar strings. Tried it once, but still find dragon coils perfect for my krakens. Sooo much wick in contact with coils and the kraken wicking mechanism ensures the wicks wont be flooded.
It's really hard to recommend a wire gauge with all the different rebuildables out there. Depends on the space avaialble for coils, the airflow setup on the atomiser, thus where coils need to be positioned to work at peak performance and the users preference when building. Again, all I can say is just use what works for you and your devices.

Yep, well 0.405 mm, if you want to try some I can give you a few m at the London meet, I have some 0.5 mm and most sizes of ribbon, just let me know.

I'm interested to know how you guys make coils at around 1 ohm. I'm currently using .32 Kanthal, with 6 wraps around an M3 bolt, giving me around 1.2ohm but would like to lower the resistance to the 1 ohm mark. Should I simply use less wraps (which to my mind would offer less surface area to the wick, and perhaps lower the amount of juice being vapourised?), or should I get some larger diameter wire like .35, or even .4? I'm not sure what these diameters are in AWG, sorry. Your comments would be appreciated!
