I got the 700 lumen version of the UltraFire a couple of months ago and really can't believe how bloody bright it is.

The lumen ratings are usually "optimistic" and rarely compliant with the ANSI standard, but most folks don't realise just how bright LEDs can be. For about 30W input I can get considerably more light than a 200W incandescent bulb can produce.
