DNA40 - Temp Control - Nickel Builds

Hi Guys,

This thread is to show and discuss what nickel builds you are using on your dna40 or temp control devices.

DNA40 tips

My first build was this:

KayfunLite+
0.25 nickel
2.4mm coil
9 wraps
0.17ohms

pretty easy to coil, didn't notice the nickel to be too much bother.

vaping at 20w, 400F, insane vapour, insane flavour. Its eating through juice though.

my first build so can only compare to regular kanthal builds at 11w normally for me, and its wiping the floor with that.

Nice 1 Tom when i get my vapour flask from the good old USofA will be able to try some of these builds, the mule is bringing it over in Jan.

ah sweet mate.

I've got 0.15, 0.2 & 0.25mm nickel, will be having a play with the others soon

Nice to get a simple one out of the way first.

Have moved up to 420F now, also the coil seems to have settled at 0.16ohms, I'm kind of glad of this as its what i was expecting it to be, although I don't think 0.01 ohms out is too bad off target

Good to see this thread started Tom not had much time today but have twisted some NI200 and been thinking a lot

As a side note, on the steam-engine link to your build has anyone set a desired wattage and used the heat flux and capacity figures when building a coil?

Using the rDNA40 battery it came with:
LG 2500mah 35A 18650 Battery

Only got it today so not really sure on the other stuff.

Going for a DNA40 in a Hana Modz (clone) box, the clone failed when the hot glue melted and went sour on a chip that shorted out.

your case is different to what i have seen about.

i didn't like the button being covered up.

Hi guys. ordered my DNA40 yesterday and 0.3 ni200.
The wire arrived today but not the DNA.
Anyways been having a play,0.3 ni round a2.4mm bit,11 wraps but its coming in at 0.03ohms. Is this going to be to low.
Help.

11 wraps should be getting you about the 0.15 area.

double check you've not got any shorts.

start again and have another go as 0.03 definitely doesn't sound right.

my bad sorry, rewound 10 wraps now reading 0.28ohms, does that sound better...
