There are meant to be 2 new release of new tech from Evolv in the next few months, stuff they put to one side to move temp limiting up the order because for the coming regulations particularly in the states.  No I have no idea what they are, but Brandon talks a little about it in VTTV about 5 mins in, some good info in this video and worth watching if you have the time.

It is defo a design fault and knowing SM it will be rectified.

It must be said that it works perfectly if configuration and within the specs stated in the instructions.

Edit: sorry got distracted mid typing, was talking about the Kayfun V4 not the VB special

Just across this for the KF4: Kayfun V4 "Spring Update"

Bit expensive though.. 9 euro for the part, then 8 euro for shipping
Cost almost as much as my cloned atty lol
Ordered one anyway just to see.
