I still miss the 2kW devices which cost as much as a new car I used in the mid-80's. In the days when I was a lab rat. I'd have one tomorrow but they still cost as much as a new car.

I really must thank Chrissie for picking one up for me, it replaces the one from AliExpress that lasted 3 cycles before going bang

YW Q The Lidl's one I picked up for Q is the same as the one I got from Aldi a couple of years ago & as with all electrical items sold by either Lidl's or Aldi, it comes with a 3 year warranty, which makes it even more of a bargain price

So, had to go to Lidl shopping anyhow, and they had a few left, well would have been rude not to, so I did. Is it supposed to make a bit of a zzzzzzzing sound when it starts off? Have only tested it with some bit of jewellery so far, some it's cleaned well, a couple of silver bracelets not so good, but they are really tarnished. Also popped a couple of juice bottles in, came out with no smell so will try a couple of tanks later. Nice neat unit, easy to use as long as it works and as Chrissie says, comes with a THREE YEAR warranty, although I think I've just set fire to the receipt edit.......do they really work as a steeping aid? Or should I just carry on waiting?
