Just had a look at the Myepack web site and they have the IPV Mini at £44.99 do you think it is worth paying this much for this, I was hoping it would be a bit cheaper than this!

That will be the best UK price I would imagine and a good vendor. I don't you will get a new authentic 30w mod for that unless you order a takeaway and wait a few weeks

It will be better in that is has more power and should actually deliver the power it is set to whereas the istick seems to deliver more than the set wattage.
I have a couple of istick and live them. I also have the ipv2 and love that more!

I sort of understand where quincey43 is coming from. On one hand it's a 30 watt device, not really that compact, and you need to buy batteries if you don't have them. On t'other, it's a yihi chip, albeit a new one, and pre ordering from China is about £34. Original means little in this case. P4U don't make the important bit - the chip - and their quality control isn't legendary. There's no doubt they are jumping on the Istick popularity, but that's not a bad thing. So no, I don't think it's cheap - but myepack aren't responsible for that. Some US vendors are offering them around $50 - no good to us of course.

the IPV is only a good buy if you want to sub - ohm which is a whole different ball game. I don't want to sub-ohm so I stick with my VTR . My VTR has been worth every penny. Even the extras I got for it (like 2 leather wraps - one has just died cos it was only stuck together not sewn) and the air flow controller (has protected my threads )

I certainly DON'T want to sub ohm so will stick with what I have and if I decide to get a mod after Christmas I will seek some advice from here first, sounds safer to me!

Not impressed, maybe if it had a modders YiHi chip, but the IPV ones are not as good, they could have made it smaller and much prettier. It seems to be on a par with a Chaha 30 W, not sure if it does step down and really don't like that it runs your batteries so low (3.2 V). But it is an IPV which are firmly in the value before quality bracket and the value isn't anything to shout about, not bad, just not great. Maybe the chip is better than I expect.
@johanino sub-ohm and high watts are different things, you could sub-ohm at low watts and use high watts over an ohm. Lot's of people don't get this, I have often seen people ask if a VW mod will fire below 0.x ohm and the only reason you would care is if you were swapping the atty between it and an unregulated mod.
