OH, and the rebuild. Can't see that causing trouble (if they work, of course).
No holes to drill. No wicking screen. (unlike Aspire) Just a verti coil wrapped in a duvet of cotton wool.
The only thought is this... those wick holes on Kanger heads are big compared to the tiny holes in a BVC. More chance of flooding??

They're not Kanger are they... Maybe I'd better put 9 boxes back and just take the one.

djs I've read so many accounts of recoiling methods but have only tried 2. The guide on AAEC for Kanger heads and one on ECF for Nautilus heads.
Both worked first time for me and apart from a few tweaks I still do them that way.
Arthritis in my left thumb has pushed me to getting the bits for a coiling jig but the Kuro Concepts one looks promising as I only use one wire size.
Once bitten twice shy with non authentic heads. The BVC heads in a clone Nautilus Mini from FT squashed when being recoiled.

I know what you mean, but the Kanger-type is there, ready to go (to rebuild). No preparation work needed and it'll be a universal housing shape/size so that's a plus... so can revert to other tested methods.... I'm going for it.

Just chucked a couple of boxes in my basket. Got to give them a go at just under £3 for 5. If they are any good, I don't think I'll bother rebuilding them

If they are a bit crap (leaky etc.) I'll mess around with the filler. 2 boxes it was. Gives me enough time to order another few packs if they do what I expect them to do. These little coils could see the re-birth of my army of T3S clearos, which I couldn't stop gurgling, even with homemade coils. Might save my Protank 2 as well, if they fit.

I spent yesterday afternoon trying some more experiments on rewicking/coiling Kanger dual coils, I tried the single upright method, but what worried me was the cotton had to be so thin to wrap that the fibres were starting to come away when pushed into tube, no way I fancied that stuff going down into lungs, it was also a lot of faff, so gave up on that, I'll stick to buying for the moment until I come up with a quick and decent method.
