I have had my Lemo for a few days now (my first true rebuildable, though I can do kanger heads with my eyes shut these days)
I got some 1.5ohm premade coils from fasttech, and the reviews say they are accurate. My first attempt fired at 3.2ohms I have got it down to 2.2 ohms and it vapes fine, but what am I doing wrong to put the ohms off?
Any insights gratefully received
P.S. I can and have made coils from scratch, but I'm a minimum faffing kinda gal

Read a few reports saying that the base screw/airflow isn't tight see "Todd's reviews" for one.

It seemed ok with the coil it came with, it is supposed to come coiled at 1.1 and that's what it read. I'll have a fiddle though thank you (at least that would mean I am not doing something daft )

Have you got the coil wires tightened down under the screws. If you coils legs are a bit lose that can give a false ohms reading.

Have you seen it fire without any wick in it? Check its glowing evenly. If its not fire it til it glows. Pinch it together with some tweezers, then release and fire again. True resistance should come out when firing and heating evenly. Hope that helps

I knew wires had to be screwed in tight ... are It glows evenly from the centre out (first few attempts didn't ) tried tightening it with tweezers after firing anyway and it made no difference (are well done coils and tight already) I've played with the 510 connection screw and the one above it inside the tank and it made no difference As far as I can tell from research, I've done everything right ... but I obviously haven't I can live with 2.2ohms for now, but my pride hurts!

If its holding a steady resistance then then the 2.2ohms is probably true and was just a mistake. It makes very little difference if firing within range of a vv/vw device, coil shape and coverage far more important. If it vapes well, vape it

The 2.2 is steady as a rock, but I'm a novice at this and my first few attempts were very unsteady 3.2ish and fired weird There are loads of reviews for the coils most say they are dead on, though a couple say are 1.7 ... nowhere close to 2.2

Have you by chance got another vv/vw mod you can try it on just to be sure it's reading correct. Or check your coil against this sites setup.http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp?targetr=2&dia=0.2&innerdia=1.5

I agree with tom, they have prob sent wrong ones or been packaged wrong, well same difference to you..! Is there a NR leg, a dead leg with a blob of weld? If so if you have not cut behold the weld it will be what they are. Might of used the wrong terminology there, others will advise better.
