Merry Christmas I finally got an MVP today and I love it, love it, love it But I also want to start getting in to mechanical mods because I've seen all your collections and now I want one of my own lol. I'm going to start with a VAMO but I guess what I really need is the batteries because they can be used with all manner of mods from fasttech right? I want to get my batteries from the UK just for a bit of peace of mind, that way if anything goes wrong then they can easily be return etc I currently have some Amazon credit to spend so I was hoping you guys could help me find some good batteries on there that will work well with the VAMO and other mods I buy in the future, maximum capacity and cheap as possible if you can I've already added a Nightcore charger to my basket as recommended by you guys. Can someone have a look and help me find some on Amazon? Also if you have any suggestions for other things I may need to start my mod adventure then please let me know. Thank you x

Best batteries are Torchy. Here. He tests each battery and only sells in pairs, so if you use a mod that has 2 batteries, it's a cert that one won't weaken and blow the mod up (using a mech mod of course). He sells rewrapped batteries, so tests them individually and then wraps and sells them. No-one ever has said 'a Torchy battery has vented/blown up/failed to charge of me'! For such an inexpensive but critical item in your vaping, play safe.

+1 for Torchy but dont buy from Ebay, go direct to the man, you save money, details hereAnd you should also realise that the Vamo isn't a mech mod, it is a VV/VW but as you rightly say it takes 18650 or 18350 batteries

Oh dear that's it started. In my professional opinion this sounds like a serious case of shinyitis probably contracted on AAEC for which there is no known cure

amygx, as you have specifically asked about amazon, I have found this. www.amazon.co.uk/Samsung-2600mAh-Lithium-Rechargeable-Unprotected-Black/dp/B008D23C34/ref=sr_1_13?s=electronics&ie=UTF8&qid=1419555794&sr=1-13&keywords=18650+batteryI shall give you the description as well which is Samsung 3.6V 2600mAh Lithium Ion Rechargeable Unprotected Battery with Storage Box (Pack of 2) Price is £8.89 for 2 and sold by JZK Express Network and Fulfilled by Amazon. I mention all the details because Amazon have a habit of listing various suppliers when you use links to products and you do not always get the same supplier coming up...often a more expensive one. The Samsung ICR18650-22F is a 2600mah battery so a reasonable capacity and used a lot for electronic mods. This is the best value I could find and is perfect for starting of with vamos and the like. But the problem is it is on Amazons min order of £10 to get free delivery so you might want to add other items sold my Amazon. I never have an issue as always some books I want. For mechanical mods you would need a protected battery which is different. Look for samsung or panasonic batteries to get best prices, but as others have said Torchy is very good but you really do not need a high current capable battery for the Vamo. Hope this helps and all makes a bit of sense....its late and I have brain fade now!!

Thanks for your help and advice guys and girls. lol I've been on a bit of a spending spree today on loads of different sites, what I can remember I've bought... vamo chrome pre-made wicks nitecore charger + batteries 18350 18650 iclear i30 protank 3 mini unitank mini large unitank aerotank cupcake world flavours for my mixing - cough candy, mint toffee, aniseed, vanilla fudge. I'm hoping the aniseed will give some of my other flavours a nice hit Most was bought off Amazon with my free credit I got last week so I still have my Christmas money which I'm going to use to celebrate my first year off the stinkies and spend it all on vape gear on fasttech in the new year I'll start saving next year I promise

It did that for me when I first started vaping... Often after an ounce of tobacco I'd think 'I'm burning monies at a rate of knots when I have enough cartos and juice from china in the kitchen to last months' Silly me! Back to vaping thou shalt go!

If you're planning on moving to mech mods at a later date then don't buy UNPROTECTED batteries. Make sure they are IMR batteries, preferably 10Amp minimum for VAMOs but possibly up to 25/30Amps. Look for LG HE2's or Sony's VTC3/4 (VTC5s are OOS everywhere, if you find one it'll probably be a fake).
If you're planning on staying with the Vamo then AW reds should be fine.
