I have just loaded items into my cart (on a well known UK site)...
AND THEN DELETED THE LOT...... SAYING TO MYSELF "I DONT REALLY NEED THAT"
Do I need to see a doctor?

Yes you need a shinyitus transplant stat.
If not corrected soon you will suffer with bulging wallet syndrome.
This is often fatal when combined with the virus known as WIFE.
Seek treatment urgently.

No.... you are (finally) reaching the point where common sense hits your vaping purchases, and you begin to save even more dosh - you don't NEED the latest/gratest/faddiest thing to have a great vape and keep off the stinkies  ..when I first started I wish I knew what I know now, could have got here on even less spend than I have... |

This is a really serious condition and the only known cure is to send the person giving this advice a large box containing all your contaminated vape gear and then rush out to the nearest vaping shop and spend all your money replacing the contaminated gear with new and unsullied stuff. *shopping* |

This happened to me during the first year and at the end of the year I had so much money to spare we went out and bought an old caravan.
When it happened again the second year we bought some accessories for the caravan, paid a builder to come in and revamp the outside of the house and then paid all our site fees for our caravanning holidays for the whole year.
If I don't regain the shineyitis bug soon, I can see SWMBO jetting off on some sunny winter holidays and me equipping my vape cave with some brand new tools.
Losing the shineyitis bug is murdering my overdraft!!!!

I feel for you Q, I really do. I have half-loaded carts in nearly all the vaping sites that I regularly visit, and more often than not I leave a site without hitting the 'checkout' button. You will recover from this affliction, however, and the difference to the size or your wallet will be sizeable. Just avoid any suggestions of shopping trips to Plymouth or other major retail centres until things have settled down. |

Q its called 'seeing sense' Tease-smiley No, seriously it happens to us all eventually I have to admit to spending as much on gear as I did on smoking for the first year, but I was so happy and chuffed and wanted to treat myself (almost daily) so I just kept buying vape gear that appealed to me. Now I'm at a stage where I cant imagine being tempted back to smoking I'm easing the pressure on my wallet -- that and I know more what I like! I too will admit to having opened carts on many shops with a few bits in.... that I haven't gone through to payment on....

Q well I am glad to hear that shinyitis is curable. I have only been engaging with this forum wearing nitrile gloves, trying to avoid catching it. Although I have noticed a number of worrying symptoms. Reading robby's posts, placing orders into checkout baskets (and not buying) and worst of all setting up an account on FT. I have now started wearing a face-mask well. Nick

The Medicine on the market nowadays is far better than it was, and will be easier for you to find a course of medicine that does not have any side effects, the one lingering side effect which is still in research though is what has already been mentioned "WIFE" is hard to sort out  loving this thread |

I personally applaud your self control Sir!!! I have managed to control my own spending on Vape Gear by stopping my late night Alcohol infused visits to FT!!! I was receiving stuff that I didn't even remember ordering!!!
