Just made my 1st dna box mod

What kind of 510 did you use crystal ?

striker42 I bought the box from Stealthvape, the 510 is what's supplied, already installed. Was going to put the OCD spring loaded connector in but would have had to make some modifications to the dna board cradle, I was being a little impatient so just used what was installed plus there's not a lot of room with that cradle. the next one will have this connector in.

Hi sydsut here's a photo of the inside.



The inside is a little untidy due to the board sled taking up so much room for the size of wires I have and my impatience waiting for some silicone insulated wire arriving in the post which is a bit thinner for the battery cables and 510 positive connection. The next one will be made without that sled so will be quite a bit more room inside.

Wonder how easy to modify to put a fatdaddy shorty 510 in.

igual here is a good pic of the case modification needed to get a FDV 510 in a Hana case.
If you look at the green box in the first big picture, you will see where the modder milled out some of the top of the chip compartment to get a FDV to fit.

Also loads of other tips in that thread about fire buttons etc....

jcol cheers bud that was very helpful.is the case crystal used from cloud 9 a Hanna case with additional DNA holder or is it a different beast entirely?
Canny quite work that out as I seen a few diff style Hanna cases.
If so where would you get a DNA holder from?
Or is it a case of build yourself?

The box looks like a hana. It come with the sled included, link its from Stealthvape but currently out of stock.

It looked at first like I could modify the sled but when I got some wiring in there wasn't that much room. The sled is really a**e way around so I had to use longer wires than I intended, couldn't put it in the other way around because of the screws attaching it to the box are offset, it wouldn't fit the other way due to the usb socket too(wouldn't fit on the other end)

All the connections are printed on the board itself where the wires for the different components go so didn't really use a diagram as such, just a little research, mostly on you tube and tech info from evolv.

It's actually a clone dna30 from fasttech but the wiring is identical.

crystal do you plan to have a 3D printed enclosure for DNA as your next project?

I guess they're quite cheap and most of all are very light and (I guess) quite strong in case you drop it...

It is a circuit board and screen to build a mod from, they come in 3 powers 20 W, 30 W & 40 W there are pictures in the links in my sig.
