I have just read in another post ( thank you Greigster ) and over on UKV that people with issues of iSticks burning their juices at low settings have tried and it is reported that it works. Allegedly it re-callibrates the iStick's circuitry and is simple to do : With a atomiser attached 1. In wattage mode take it to the highest wattage your atomiser will allow and press the fire button for a second (remember pressing twice accelerates the speed) 2. Then go to the lowest wattage setting without firing in between and press fire again. 3. Press the fire button 3 times changing to Voltage, go to the highest setting press the button for one second. 4. Go to the lowest Voltage setting and press fire again for one second. And that's it! Your iStick should now be callibrated. Return it to your "normal" setting, for me this is 7w with a 1.8 ohm atomiser and try it. Let us know if you had issues previously if this works! *DISCLAIMER* I am reporting what others have said it does and will not be responsible if firing at the highest setting burns out your coils, although this did not happen with mine only press fire button for ONE SECOND! you should be okay.

I just tried it on the scope, didn`t make any difference to mine but mine may have been okay. The one I have at the moment is a pretty recent one (possible firmware change?). I have never had a problem with mine so it doesn`t mean it wont work, looks like it should work by the good reports elsewhere

Didn't work @ 2 ohm, tried going up and down 3 times and measured on oscilloscope twice R = 2.0 Screen: P= 4.5 W, V= 3.0 V, R = 2.0 ohmMeasured V pk = 5.9375 V, T = 20.7 ms, T on = 11.09 ms DC = 11.09 ms / 20.7 ms = 0.5357 Vrms = 5.9375 sqrt( 0.5357 ) = 4.3457 VPrms = (4.3457 * 4.3457) / 2 = 9.4426 WStill way out

I just got this response from scritti on UKV to my post and it was not a fix for over powering at all, just for faulty iSticks.

Well I don't think doing this procedure will turn it into a Fluke Meter I seems from the post I read to allegedly make the range more "linear"? , the theory does make some sense to me but as my iStick has been ok thought it might work for someone else. Was Phoenix . having problems with hers?

It is not that inaccurate for what it is the avg voltage was 3.2 V rather than 3 V, they just chose the wrong scale or formula.

It did nothing DiscoDes. Still burning juice, even with a 2.2ohm coil. One day I'll find a way, just don't have the patience for it atm

An update DiscoDes. Wanting to understand what the issue was, and wanting to resurrect my isticks I played with them last night. The only thing I hadn't tried was a full reset - a cold boot shall we say. I disconnected the batteries (desoldered one wire) from the board and let them sit for half an hour. Then I reconnected the batteries and did the calibration trick you suggested. Wow, cracking little mods ain't they? I won't try going too low but they behave now with a 1.6ohm coil on a mini nautilus, with still enough punch for an a fogger @ 0.8ohms. I was bitterly disappointed when I first got them, now I'm smiling again. Just need to put something back into the drawer to fill that gap
