Do you mean CLS, Captain Custard is made by Steamgunk and sold through Chefs vapour? Aye that's the one. Custards last stand is definitely my favourite. Steamgunks captain custard isn't too shabby. Couldn't get on with GVC at all though. You know, i've never tried CLS, all the others that Spiritus Vapes sell but never that one. GVC, pah, was the daddy once but these days there are better out there. What i never understood was the ridiculousness of getting hold of it, i mean it's not like it's super expensive but the supply is atrocious, why not make mega amounts of it? Bridge steeping perhaps?

Yeah been a few discussions about the supply and demand on a few different forums. Tried it expecting great things but didn't like it at all. CLS is lovely but taste is obviously subjective. Leaves a lovely aftertaste and I don't find it sickly at all unlike some I've tried. Nicks Blissful Brews smoked custard is also nice if you ever fancy trying a tobacco custard. Not as bad as it sounds and quite like Vapemunkis Bazilla Custard if you like that one.

How about Dunfords Short Horn? I bought a bottle a while back (along with their Grizzly Bear - maple/vanilla/dark choc, and Silverback - banana cream/choc). It needed a lot of steeping (I think us custard lovers have truely learned the art of patience!!), but was a really gorgeous creamy custard. My other favourites are GVC (still absobleddylutely love the stuff) and Nicotickets Creme Brulee (has to have steeped for at least 2 months though and it is amazing). Their CLS is also really tasty

You know Birds custard powder (other custard powders are available at all good retailers!) when you mix it with cold milk and sugar and then chuck it into hot milk and stir to eliminate the lumps and allow it to thicken up? That's the taste I'm after! Nothing added or taken away.

Accies is the one i find that has the milky taste that you get with the birds custard but might lack the custard flavour in favour or more of a rice pudding taste.

@spikeyfridge I've got some bottles of home made CLC made on December 12th 6mg, 50/50 if you want a bottle to try? Nearly ready to go, another month and apparently it'll be lovely, never waited that long! No idea what it's like, well apart from a tiny bit I manage to test on my little drip tank thing. I'm not expert dripping, prefer my tanks I think but I'll happily send you a bottle if you want to try some?

I am looking through suggestions though. Might actually try mixing some up a bit. I can always tweak homemade to suit. Some great opinions here

I'd be quite happy to dump a bit more nic in there for you? Might alter the flavour just slightly? It'd need about 1.6ml more nic I think, roughly? Anyhoo, offer is there. Good luck with yur search
