Just swapped out a battery on the above and noticed that the base had been put on back to front, hence the battery vent holes were under the atty part of the mod and not under the battery compartment as is the case with the other one I have.
It is an easy fix with the provided Allen key. I bought this one from mvapes UK (no criticism of Matt and co)
If you've got one would be worth checking.

I've taken top and bottom brackets off and swapped them with Lego pieces!. Let me know if you get the hex key in there. I can't find it here but not sure if its in the box!

Montana I have 2 kato's, one from arrons group buy, if you put the battery in positive to the top it can fire on its own, in this one I put the battery positive down. The second has a thicker delrin insulator on the fire button and won't fire pos down, in that one positive is up and it works fine. So works both ways, check it when you get it(I'm using flat tops in both)

As prr said -ve end at the switch, flat tops will mostly (no guarantee) be OK the other way round, but button tops will fire all the time.

Glad your started this thread prr liked it this morning because I knew about the vent holes being under the battery section but positive side on a spring is not "normal" to myself however makes perfect sense now in hand. The one I have is from focalecig and got to say for the money it's machined very well, can't find a flaw worthy of mention. Need to set an atty up and start using I think..

@letsavit it is a cracking piece of kit, got a simple home micro coiled aerotank mega on one and a home microicoiled emow on the other, both give brilliant result at 1.5ohm. I swap the batteries out first thing am and about 5pm which keeps the voltage within sensible limits. Hope you enjoy yours, simple faff free quality mod.
