Dropped small parts,easy find method.

Hi Peeps. Bet you all at some time have dropped small parts,especially screws onto the floor ,never to be found.

Well this tip may just help sort out that problem.

STRETCH A PAIR OF TIGHTS OR STOCKINGS OVER END OF VACUUM CLEANER NOZZLE.

This will suck up dropped parts into the material, which you then just pick off.

P.S. Make sure that SWMBO is not wearing them at that time.

Alternatively, if no tights or stockings are available, simply remove your footwear and socks, and walk barefoot across the area where you think you have dropped the items. As if by magic, they will embed themselves in your sole, and can then be gently eased out and put away for safe keeping.

I've got a Henry the Hoover and I already don't like the looks he gives me. This will make him even more nervous jeffc

Well... I think my wife will begin to worry... in the beginning I got her tweezers... then her cotton pads... now I'm gonna get her stockings... hmmmm....

I ladder my tights (beyond the point of wearing) regularly so if folk need tights (40D) I can post - though it may be easier and cheaper to get cheap from the supermarket . I only wear socks when it's snowing LOL. I'm a tights and skirts (long variety) all the way

This is going to do my reputation no good at all in the local shops, I already go in looking for make up holders and browse the lipstick isles for acrylic lipstick holders, now I will be spotted in the stockings Isle and minds will be working overtime making 1+1 = 3.

I will not be drawn down perverts route (just because i'm too good lol), in our clock and watch workshop where items can fling into infinity we have 2 methods, hard floors so dust pan and brush in suspected area, then sort through all the crap lol, or my method, have old large magnet that held aerial on car, sweep that over area, but remember to cover it with kitchen towel or something similar or you spend week picking rubish off it, works for us and we got things much smaller than kayfun screws on a large area.

Nice tip by the way mart166 to place a paper towel or cloth over magnet.

Problem with magnets is they are useless for brass, alloy, plastic or copper bits 'n' pieces.
