mikemichelle hi have you just started like me ??? Iv been doing some research and apparently the PG/VG can make a difference the higher the PG tends to tickle my throat more but I think your body has to a just for a while , iv had a go of my friends she uses 30/70 PG/VG and I have to say for me I found it a lot nicer on my throat as the PG is the throat hit ,with the liquid I'm using my voice is a bit rasbie and my throat is sore so I'm getting some new stuff in, saying that though I read about smokers flu yesterday which you can get when you quit have a google its interesting you get a sore throat ,head ache etc

Yes I'm a newbie and I'm currently only using the £1 LiQuid, 24mg Strength = 65% PG / 35% VG. I want high nicotine and maximum throat hit the moment and will reduce on my next order. I guess it's probably a symptom of having more of a dry throat.

I don't know if this will help any of you, but not long after I switched to vaping (last Feb) I kept getting a really bad throat. I thought at one point I wasn't going to be able to carry on vaping and was scared I'd end up smoking again.

Anyway, I found a thread on POTV forum about various peoples symptoms/side effects from vaping. Someone had posted that they'd visited their GP and he'd suggested a possible remedy of mixing half a tsp of Bicarb in a cup of warm water and gargling with it. I was ready to give anything a go, and was amazed that it really seemed to work!!

I still sometimes get the start of the 'throat' feeling and just make up some of the bicarb solution and gargle on and off with it for a few hours
