250 miles away from me though

250 miles!! That's nothing sealover1. We had someone from USA last year!!!! And we regularly get people from Scotland. We come down from Cumbria. The weekend itself is cheap once you get there. The bar is free all weekend serving some great homebrew and wine. We will also be having a competition, a band on the Saturday night, quiz, and lectures about water treatment and other brewing subjects. All in all a great weekend, with good beer, good company and good food. What more can you ask?

While the bar is all donated there is no expectation to donate. Your attendance is what is important. So don't feel obligated in any way, as there will be more beer and wine than any of us will drink in a week. The weekend is open to all who have an interest in homebrew, experienced or just started, all grain or kit. You will enjoy it, and you will make some great new friends. That I guarantee. So don't be shy. Get your name down. You will go home thinking 'when is the next get together'

Bobsbeer I put my brew in last sat morning, I have just been delivered my swing top bottles yesterday but they are brown and I ordered clear bottles so not really happy. how long can this brew stay in a bucket safely for mate should I have to reorder them?

You don't want clear bottles for beer. Brown ones keep the light out to stop skunking. If you use clear bottles you need to keep them out of the light in a box.  Once fermented try to put it somewhere cool and it is fine for a few weeks.

I want to use clear bottles though bob but I will be keeping them in the garage out of the light and its cool in there. once in the bottles do you store them to ferment again for a week and do they need to be kept warm or cool when fermenting in the bottles? & is it a week to ferment before drinking it??
