Anyhow having some probs with the chibi. (gotten on Monday) Basically the Kanger LR BC 510 cartos (not DC) are only lasting a day or so....about a day and now they are not even taking up. I punch about a 2mm hole in the bottom (about 1-1.5cm from the bottom bit) and am using a combo of 20% alcohol/20% VG and the rest PG NIc juice (with 2% flavouring)....
Any help most welcome. Often I have to push the tank up and down to get it to work so sure it's air pressure....
Thanks
Jane

There's some interesting stuff on ECF about chibi tanks. They say that unlike belrin or stainless steel caps you need to not fill the carto before you put it in the tank and let it take it up... That has helped no end... Now I wonder if it's cos I'm using kangers and not boges that they are only lasting a day - any thoughts? Does anyone have any spare boges they'd like to swap for kangers to try? Jane

I use these. I always fill my cartos up before inserting into the tank. I wonder why they say don't do this?
I've not had a problem with it since bought early December...I only use the Boge LR's as not keen on the Kangers.
I punch 2 holes in as I find the cartos wick much better. When I did start out and punched just the one hole in, I got a fair few dry hits.

And where is the cheapest place to get Boge LR's from apart from china?
How big are your holes? Do you use a lot of PG cos alcohol really does thin stuff out

I've not got any Boge LR's from the UK for a while now Jane, as I buy a few boxes at a time from Perpy's Health Cabin group buy. The last time I got them in UK was Ecigwizard, about a quid each.
I use the carto punch from Siam mods, it's perfect for the job. I turn the screw till you can hear the click into the carto, then a couple of small turns more. The hole at this point would be about 2mm. I then turn the carto opposite to the first hole, and punch another hole in.
I've used in the past the Arry tool thingy, and I always messed up with that. The siam tool is much easier to use.
The juice i use is mainly a 50/50 mix, so quite thick compared to just PG.

And how far away from the thread do you punch the hole? Mine was about 1.5cm when on the BC's...I dread any lower as I won't be able to get the chibi on and off.

i dont find kangers work very well in tanks or with VG juice as the filler seems to be more compact than boges.... hopefully the boges will work better for you Jane

Och brilliant... Also got some fab help on ECF as well...so I think with the boges and a slightly more alcohol based juice it should be better Unless I buy just plain PG or something to dilute with rather than alcohol/vg That could be the answer.... Anyone got that link for the PG on ebay? J

That one seems fine Mark and a great price too, plus the seller has 100% feedback! Quoted from the product description: In electronic cigarettes, as a vaporizable base for diluting the nicotine liquid. As a solvent for food colours and flavouringsHe couldn't make such claims if they weren't true. In fact, I think I'll buy some. Thanks x
