Hi Ive just started looking at new tanks and as so many folk refer to the Kayfuns Im thinking of getting one. Im a bit confused as to why the originals are so expensive? Also not sure what clone means, I took it to me "fake" but Ive seen a few now, the likes of the ones on Provapes, which actually have the "Svoe Mestro" name on the tanks, who I thought were the manufacturers of the originals?

happyloman - you are correct, a clone is essentially a fake. Quite how some of the cloners get away with the original manufacturer's name on their copy I don't know, and I also am not quite sure how the originals are so expensive either; I do know that a Kayfun is a great atty for someone to start with, and as they have been around for so long, there are loads of resources on them both on the forum and on the wider interweb

Im very happy with both my Kangers and my Aspire but neither of them have worked very well on my new MVP 20W, so Im stuck looking for something new. I agree though there is a lot of mentions of the Kayfun stuff, but there seem to be lots of different makers of the clones, so its difficult to know which version to buy. Maybe its just me though lol. Im a bit tight fisted on account of being Scottish

I would go for a Lemo I can see why originals are expensive to an extent, they after all have the cost of design and development and manufacturing costs in Europe or USA are higher than in a Chinese factory. They also know that within a short space of time a clone is going to be on the market so naturally want to claw back their development costs and bring in a profit before the cloners steal their sales. The cheaper original tanks are pretty much all originals from large Chinese manufacturers.

AndyB! I've been doing a bit of research into Clones, it seems China has their own copyright laws that only apply to China, they choose to ignore international copyrights, They aren't enforced because the Chinese government recognizes that the pirate companies bring millions - if not billions - of dollars of foreign currency into China every year, and they therefore choose not to enforce them,The incentive that countries have to enforce international copyright treaties is that then other countries will protect their rights in return - but China does not produce any significant amount of international products that are in demand elsewhere in the world, so they just don't care, a foreign company "can" sue a pirate outfit in Chinese courts- but the Chinese legal system is so slow, complicated and corrupt that it's basically a waste of time to do so. basicaly if it's made in another country they will clone it, and as we all know most manufacturers use Chinese companys to produce their stuff now, most clones are coming out of the same factorys as the originals using the original company's tooling, the problem is if the originals were made elsewhere they would make much smaller profit or put the prices up and no-one would buy them, I think if you told someone it was a fake it may put them off a product and they would buy the original, but say it's a clone or copy and somehow it dosn't sound so bad, I've bought many clone/copy's of stuff from China and never had a problem yet, as long as you use reputable company's the clones are as good as the originals, the only thing I would never buy is electrical stuff,

Goblin 1.2 in stock at BAVapes now if anyone's after one. Just ordered mine Must be running hot, sold out already! Goblin 1.1, could not find 1.2. moodyb lets us all know your thoughts once you have it up and running? GT2 (from FT) is going great but only have new juice to try so jury still out. Lots more air, the tank needs a massive clean to get rid of the machine oil taste. Only using 2 holes (each side)at present on a 1.4 coil.

Think it was in stock late last night. It was definitely listed as v1.2 earlier today, so they must have changed that. It should arrive tomorrow hopefully, so I'll post my thoughts once I've had a few ml through it.

just watched a video on the new Innokin RBA, but they seem to be designed for dripping, which I cant be bothered with. That said it seemed the best setup for recoiling, though the guy in video was using a hell of a lot of cotton Have removed the link

Only using 2 holes (each side)at present on a 1.4 coil. First build I made too low, around 0.25ohms, and used a bit too much cotton in the channels, so it gave me a nic rush & I wasn't getting the throat hit & flavour I need. So I left it for a day & I've just rebuilt it tonight at around 0.5-0.6 ohms instead, with much less cotton in the juice channels too, and so far it's working better. Better throat hit and better flavour than the first build, although I've only vaped around 1ml so far. I'll see how it is by the end of the tank. I might try open wraps on the coils rather than micros after reading a thread on UKV about the differences in vape between open & closed/micro coils. The only problem I'm having is that I can't quite get a draw I like. Think I'm too used to the draw / flavour on my Origen v2 clones really. For a comparison then I'd say it's basically a dual coil Kayfun lite, with much more airflow. At around 20-25w its a warm vape too, due to the small chamber & chimney so it's probably better suited to tobacco flavours rather than my daily vape of peppermint menthol.
