When you pack in vaping for the night, do you remove your carto from your device and put condoms on each end? Or remove the drip tip and put a condom on the end. Or just throw the device on a shelf for the night? And when you are using a spiky thing, do you leave the spiky thing on the bottle all the time, or take it off and replace with the normal cap, then wash out the ST, then how do you get the spiky thing clean? Because I always end up with water in there, I can't get out. And if I leave the ST on the bottle of juice, that means it's open to the air in a small way. I suspect I might be the only person worrying about these niggling things

I just leave my e-cig wherever, last night it was in my bag as I'm at my GF's this weekend. I rarely remove a cartomiser and/or tank from my device at night. I use a spikey thing on 30ml bottles, the hole is so small I doubt it makes much difference, possibly helps the liquid to steep a little. Questions like this are good!

We do seem to have had an influx of new vapers, which is fabulous! There again this is the traditional time of year that people give up smoking.

Womble i suspect most of the answers you get will differ but for me i leave carto on device all the time no removal of anything because i'm lazy as for the spiky thing i don't use one right now - for cleaning it out i would suggest using an empty small bottle and flushing through with warm water and shake dry (leave on the draining board to dry out) of course you could flush a little cheap vodka through it each night as that will evaporate much better and cleaner than water

I leave the cartomiser/tank on the device and remove the batteries (for charging). They generally stay 'open to the elements' without much fuss - although the first 'puff' the next morning is automatically exhaled, just to be sure... Juice bottles - I use an 'silicon adapter' that came with some BudTanks to fill small items, and immediately wash it with very warm water. Works a treat for me.

Can you not blow the water out of the spikey? It never seems to get it all out. I'm unsure what a drop of water getting into the juice means will happen.

Can you not blow the water out of the spikey? It never seems to get it all out. I'm unsure what a drop of water getting into the juice means will happen. If you leave it standing on the draining board after you blow through it'll clear in about 30mins, however the tiny amount that we're talking about won't make much of a difference if any. I leave the spikey thing on the bottle until the bottle's empty then I'll clean it. If you leave your carto's attached to the battery then lay it on It's side to make sure that no juice can leak through to the battery.

I'm also of the lazy school of though and leave my cartos attatched over night and usually upright, never enough juice left in them by the time I go to bed for leaks to occur lol Spikey thing I just blow through and it gets the occasional rinse out when I remember. I supposse it was always gonna be this way, I never cleaned my zippo daily either lol

I just turn my PV (Rok Star) off at night, put the lid on it (that way it does not matter about leaks, which ever way I leave it) and go to bed..... Always leave the 'spikey thing' on, my juices are well separated (boxes inside boxes) in the fridge, so I do not worry about it. Mind you I only ever use a spiked feeder for my favourite daily e-juices, cannot see the point in putting a spike on summat you only use once a week. Hope this helps, rather than confuses, lol.

Another lazy one here - rarely clean things out (although I rarely vape anything other than menthol) e-cig gets left just anywhere be that mantelpiece, coat pocket, hanging off a door handle, on the stairs!

Is any vodka cheap enough to use for cleaning purposes? Tesco value is £9.29 Lyn. Don't know if that's cheap or not though.
