The Kanger Subtank Mini and Sigelei 50W V2 arrived today. The batteries have been charged, tank filled, and I'm ready to go I'm using the supplied OCC coild head, which states 15W-30W. Does that mean I have to set the Sigelei to 15W? It seems that if I set it lower, e.g. 10W, it is still working.

It will still work but the voltage will remain as if you set it to 15w

If 10w is doing it for you then you have it at the correct setting The cloudchasers will use it at 30w+ 15-30w is the setting that the manufacturer deems that the device works best at

A brief highlight from me now. You state 15-30watts, so I assume you're using the 0.5ohm head? The fact is the v2 doesn't go below 3.0 volts, so the minimum watts it'll regulate to with a 0.5ohm coil is 18watts. So it doesn't matter what you set at below 18watts, that is what you'll get. The wonders of subohming on regulated mods eh? I hope I'm not wrong too drunk ETA (3.0) 2/0.5 ***amended***

doctorjellybean picking up on what arron said, our posts crossed......don't know your device but you could be running at its minimum due to your coil ohms regardless of your settings. edit...more crossed posts....ha ha.

A brief highlight from me now. You state 15-30watts, so I assume you're using the 0.5ohm head? The fact is the v2 doesn't go below 3.6 volts, so the minimum watts it'll regulate to with a 0.5ohm coil is 25.9watts. So it doesn't matter what you set at below 26watts, that is what you'll get. The wonders of subohming on regulated mods eh? I hope I'm not wrong too drunk ETA (3.6) 2/0.5 The spec sheet on the V2 says 3 volts minimum is the spec sheet BS? At that spec minimum would be 18watts with a 0.5ohm coil.

You're right, but you're not. It's the same for me Up til now I've seen 3 different specs quoted. Do you have a link to the official spec sheet Get Off My Cloud? would be good for my own reference. nvm, I have it here. 3.0 - 8.5 watts. I stand corrected and thank you ETA: Just seen a USA site quote 2.8 volts

I stand corrected and thank you ETA: Just seen a USA site quote 2.8 volts I pulled that spec off myepack but now you pointed out you've seen 3 different specs advertised i dug out the user manual cos i have the v2, that lists output range 1.2v - 8.5v. The low battery voltage protection kicks on when the battery is below 3.2v. Still not sure why websites are advertising the output limit in the 3v range. Even more annoying the Sigelei site doesn't list the voltage output range. I only assumed it was 3v because i bought mine from myepack and that was the spec i read there, didn't think to check it against the manual.
