I'm starting to worry about what my husband has added to the gene pool? today he attempted to fix the washing machine (that I've complained about for weeks) it fills with water when off. He said he'd fixed it last week, but no - it was still filling with stinking water --- so I googled it. Its backwash from our stupid pipe system under sink.

So I explained to him, carefully and slowly ....and he decided to undo a section of U bend and see if it was gunked up, it was, so he cleaned it out - by throwing the fetid gunk down the plughole now bearing in mind he was holding half of the piping that connected to outside drain in his hand....

I had to learn how to use one of them washing machine things about 2 years ago... Was going fine for about a week then It leaked everywhere so I rang Bosch had a moan so they sent an engineer out...

Engineer; can I see what washing up detergent you are using.
Me; here you go
Engineer; where do you put these
Me; in the drawer thingy
Engineer; these are tabs and suppose to go into the drum, that's why its leaking.
Me; oh right, am I going to get charged for this
Engineer; NA you're alright mate , I'll write it off.
