I get where you mean now! Try not touching the airflow ring when unscrewing and gently apply push pressure when attempting to unscrew it

I tell you, its the threads on the istick adaptor! I think you might be right mate, I can't get the adapter off the Istick now or the smart-20 Does anyone know of a way to get them off? I am not even sure I need them with the aerotank thinking about it, its stuck rigid on both as I seem to have tightened them by accident trying to get the bloody tanks off I need a bloody fag more than ever now

Wedge it in a drawer or similar and twist the device to the left? Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Be gentle. Apply steady pressure not jerky twists.
Saying that, I got a battery stuck in a mod and hammered it out with a rolling pin!!

Screwing it down on the mod tighter will have no effect on leakage at all, it will just make it impossible to get off, I have 4 aerotanks, mainly used as backups now, but used them for my holiday because they are a failsafe vape, dont tighten them down so much

Greeny1210 Stick with it mate, I'm sure most of us have been in a similar situation. Get y'self a few back ups and remember it's your health not your wealth that really counts. Soon enough, you'll find a set up you're happy with. I'm gonna nick that!

Aerotanks are brilliant. Since discovering them I have sold some (very) expensive atties as they no longer got used.
It could be that some juice has got between the atty and the istick, dried and 'glued' them together.
Forget vices, mole grips, freezers and rolling pins. A couple of strips of that sticky rubber matting you put on a dashboard to hold coins or glasses will get anything apart. Failing that use rubber gloves or thick rubber bands.

Thanks for the replies guys so far I am determined to stay off the stinkies but EVERYTHING is just not working My new Aerotank mega is deffo not working as it won't work on my emow mega battery as well as the isticks but my emow works on it aside from that there is deffo an issue with the Istick for start I can not get the adapter off at all not even with the suggestions on here (apart from sticky rubber matting mentioned in the previous post, but I have no idea what that is as I don't drive) I have added a picture of the esmart 20 and my original Istick is exactly the same, the adapter will not shit at all

Anything with threads can and will be a problem if extreme care isn't used when attaching/unattaching... plus the tolerances used in the manufacturing process aren't always very tight so it's soooo easy to get a mismatch between devices, attys and adapters. All too easy to end up with cross-threads and therefore jams like this. ...and then there's the differences in height between centre pins in atty/device/adapter to consider too, which often leads to inadvertent over-tightening Soz, too much rambling... to sum up - always be extremely careful with ALL threads, and never force any connection.. p.s. - have you considered using the loo-seat iStick adapter? Saves the threads on the device and connects the atty with a spring-loaded 510...

SWMBO screws atty's on so tight anyone would thing they are permanently welded on. I've lost count of the times she's tried undoing one and only managed to unscrew the tank section with rather messy predictable results.
She's also a complete Jonah with regard to anything electrical, if it accepts voltage (battery or mains) she will feck it completely. Two words missing from her vocabulary are 'light' and 'touch', she even managed to push the fire button on an itaste vv so far in, it cracked the circuit board in half.
If I could trust her with a mech I'd get her something bombproof like a Kato clone, however my money is on her buggering one of those as well.

Greeny1210 go to your local £1 shop. Car dept shelves and look for a small mat holder for holding phones. Very sticky (but leaves no residue!) on one side. I bought a load of eBay for pennies

I bought a provari 510 to ego adapter and its a complete bugger - catches on most threads and locks onto tank bases, so I really feel your pain. Twice this month I've been through the saga of adapter stuck inside mini protanks but these are the ones without a deep flange. The provari adapter wasn't cheap but its crud, my 40 pence fasttech ones behave better!
The deep flanged one I got with my istick has been fine but the internal ones have left me raging, I did the hot water, freezer, rubber bands, vape grips and only managed to remove by more luck than skill, wd40 and a death grip with jewellery pliers. I now only use the flanged adapter on every mod when using ego threaded tanks

Greeny1210 try some of this from your local wicks. Spray directly onto the adapter to shrink it. This stuff freezes water in pipes so plumbers can cut the pipe without turning the water off, so its bloody cold. There's also an automotive version for rusted threads but i cant find a link at the mow link

One of the first topics I read when I found AAEC was about lubricating threads. Posters recommended Noalox or Contralube. I went for Contralube as Noalox is abrasive. I have used it ever since on the threads of all our devices & tanks. We have had 4 iSticks for several months. All had the threads lubricated & bending adaptors fitted & lubricated. The threads are all still in good condition. I know I'm going to get lucky when Angie says "Get the lube". It means the postie has been with more tanks/devices
