VTR probs (not on provari)

Thought my resistance jumping on my VTR and it gradually getting higher and higher resistance over a few days (to the point of hot atty) was just my taifun gs needed maintenance (i.e.rewicking/rewiring)

But

Not getting these probs with the provari?

So is it the VTR or the taifun? Gunking coil in a nutshell (currently on 50/50 pg/vg) or VTR? If it is the VTR it is a standard vtr problem as also occurs with my spare vtr that VE Jason gave me?

Any ideas?

Resistance will usually rise with use @johanino

But, the accuracy and performance of the Provari is on a different level to that of the VTR, so I would go with the Provari's judgement
