But if a was to wander here >http://www.ecigwizard.com/shop/en/puff-tank/172-puff-daddy-tank.html and accidently click the wrong button, would it be compatible with my riva 1100, or do i need to have a variable voltage gizmo to use dual coil carttos? or do i have to use dual coil? in other words, what tank would i need with my device cos i want to try a tank out and cant wait for arrys latest to come on the scene. also. do you have to use stainless or glass cartos with them? im guessing the answer will be yes, as anything else might react with the juice, just need confirmation.

You don't need a VV device to use these. I have a similar one sat here on a 650 mAh Riva working fine I think it is a Dual coil flanged carto system but on you 1100 Riva it should be okay. Others may disagree I can only go on my experience. The tank i have has delrin ends with a polycarb tube, the cartos that came with it are stainless steel finish, probably better to stick with a non painted carto. I use menthol e-liquid without any signs of cracking, had it for just over 2 weeks.

the only thing you may want to note is the 1.5ohm carto is generally considered a little risky to use with a riva as it could cause damage to the battery. i would prob stick to a 2ohm carto instead

Thanks for the info Gordy and Des. Does that mean the higher the number of ohms, the safer it is? Dont suppose anyone knows for certain when arrys new tank is due out, loved the look of the v3 with the threaded ends, which must make it less likely to leak.

I've got one of these and they're pretty good, should be fine on a 650mah battery but wouldn't stick them on anything less to be honest as they do drain the battery twice as fast as a single coil. I tend to use mine at home on an ego passthrough.

Cheers Mike. You`ve sold it. lol
I get about a day and half out of each battery, so not too worried about battery drain tbh.
now do i wait til saturday or order it now?
decisions decisions...

Well Daz does do good value tanks! What to run 1.5 ohm DC's on has been debated many times! Personally I wouldn't risk it on a Riva as you are pushing the limit on the amperage they are designed to be used for and if you fry the electronic circuitry in them the battery won't work. Having said that obviously Des has had no problem and many other people use them on these types of battery as well. I have heard of people with the opposite experience though

Agrees with Gordy & Dave, the circuitry in the Riva button struggles with the power drawn by very low resistance cartos like the 1.5 ohm DC's.

Chrissie just out of interest does the same apply to ego batteries? I mainly use my DCT on an ego passthrough but occasionally on a standard ego battery, am I likely to knacker it?

Aswell lol, seen as I have questions...just been onto ecig wizard and they sell pre punched carts in different ohm's, 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3 ohm. Would the 2 or 2.5 ohm be better for me use with an ego and give me more battery life?

Mike, from my understanding, the circuitry in a true eGo switch is a tad stronger. Hopefully, others will confirm this or say otherwise.

Cool cheers Chrissie, I'll be honest I thought the ego and riva were the same thing! I'd still like a cart for the DCT that doesn't use as much battery up so would any of those listed be better? I'm still a bit confused as to whether a dual cart 3ohm is the same as standard 3ohm cart? I was always crap at this stuff at school aswell lol.
