A good microcoil should last at least a couple of months. The wick is what degrades, you will notice that flavour and vapour drops off when this happens. Take the chimney off the head and tease the cotton out gently, put the head back in the base and attach to your device pulse the device and you will see the crud burn off the coil. When you can see clean metal coil stop. Roll a little cotton and pas through the coil so that it makes minimal resistance, trim the tails and fluff up the cotton so that it fills the slot and push the chimney back on. Attach to the tank and let it soak in the juice for about 5 mins, then you are good to go.
If you have some spare protank heads pm me and I will microcoil and wick them for you. @yavape

The mini will take the NV dual coil heads , but you can use the NV single coil heads (if there cheaper) as long as you put the extra bit of silicon tube on the chimney. It takes up the space of the larger dual coil head, there's a piece on the head in the tank I sent to you.

If you've got a Mini Protank 2 (with a rounded drip tip), you'll need a (single-coil) NV Pro-Coil. If yours is a Mini Protank 3 (with a straight removable drip tip), you'll nned a (double-coil) NV DCD Pro-Coil. If you re-wick carefully, either coil type should last for over 6 weeks but I guess it'll depend on how hot you're running them. Martyn Parker's re-wicking tutorial:

Thanks everyone contributed on here, i'm going to bookmark it, NV ones are new on me will give them a go, theres a thread somewhere I started on my trying to recoil original Kangers and FT DC heads, but not worth reading as I got nowhere and not had time to return to recently.
