Got my Gripper DNA 40 from @windows today. First thing that struck me was how light it was so for fun i stuck it on my digital scales and compared it to one of my Hana style boxes. With the battery inside both the Gripper weighed in at a featherweight 106.5grams compared to the Hana clone at 157.0grams. Your trousers aren't going to be sagging like a 15 year old chav with this in your pocket. Mine is the V1 style case and the shape is really comfortable with that rounded off side, it just fits my paw nicely. It has a nice textured tactile sort of grip so even if you're a butter fingers kind of person this isn't going to slip out of your hand and hit the deck. It's not rough though it's sort of a soft velvety feel really. The two halves pull apart easily to make changing the battery easy, it holds together firmly enough so that it's not going to come apart unless you want it to. The wiring work inside is really tidy and the soldering is really clean too, not a drop of glue in sight. If i were going to be super picky the fire button is pretty sensitive, it fires really easily so i would do the 5 clicks to lock it when you stick it in your pocket or whatever. I am one happy vaping bunny. Get one you won't regret it!

@windows Is it the old rule "If you have to ask how much you can't afford it"

I don't know if it's feasible @windows, but was wondering if it would be possible to re-house my Vaper Shark Rdna40 into the Hammond Squonker box you did for sale recently? Pretty pissed as to how most of the rubber covering is peeling off this thing , believe it or not the Sharks only about 10 weeks old, never been miss handled yet the covering just seems to peel off ! I am not looking for any favours, just a fair price for your time and work involved to carry out the job. The Shark is from the 2nd edition ( larger screen, that looks no larger to me lol) No probs if it's too much hassle, I just thought I would ask anyhow Cheers

car147 that's terrible, mines lived in a skin with a bit if plactic under the atty for juice and paint protection, a bit of paint has still flaked off next to the 510..... And that's it "flaked" off, not chipped off with normal use. Send that back to vaporshite and get new, sell it and get windows to build you a mod from scratch.

I had a skin on it, still shed the covering infact it's flaking off area's that get no use which suggests to me its a fault of the covering adhering to the base metal. I was just hoping windows may be up for converting it to a temp limiting Squonker, as the chip etc works fine. For a £149 device it really is shoddy.

Well im up for building you a squonker out of it car147 but there's a slight problem. Vaporshark have been a bit sneaky with the rdna40 and piggybacked the evolve chip onto another board which has made it a bit more tricky to replace it. I do however have an idea. I have a rdna30 with a blown board waiting for some tlc so we could have two options. I nick your board and put it in the rdna30 and then put a new chip in the squonker which you buy less the price of the board or you have the upgraded rdna30 and i just charge you for the swop over. Only thing is the rdna30 case is the same design except it dont have a magnetic door. If you would prefer the squonker option then the next one is going to be using the bezel below which is large screen instead of the seperate buttons of the first one.
