Hi again! After getting over my initial filling problem with the Boges (not so much getting over, but dealing with it) I now find myself with a massively frustrating problem! I'm finding that I am not getting a consistent vape: sometimes I get a good throat hit and clouds of vape, sometimes just good vape but no throat hit and then sometimes very little vape and no throat hit at all! I'm beginning to get quite hacked off to the point of direct dripping all last night and leaving the carto's alone! I've filled them (condom method), then topped up from the top and allowed to sit in the condom for a period of time so excess juice can drain. (anywhere from about an hour to overnight). I then blow through the carto's into kitchen roll and connect to the 510 battery. All my juice is PG/VG mixed, and where possible I have opted for extra VG (Bottles not to hand right now) and extra flavour. I do have a couple of juices that are light in colour (almost clear) which vape very consistently, with strong throat hit/clouds of vape etc (but typically these are ones that I'm not everly keen on and therefore don't want to vape very often, if at all). Interestingly both the light coloured juice and the darker juice all have the same liquid consistency ( quite thick) so I'm unsure why I am having these problems? Any ideas? By the way - the DC carto's get really hot whilst vaping. Just before they get too hot to hold I have to stop for it to cool down. Is this normal? Thanks in advance for any/all info

are you getting a good vape from the boges when you have left them to sit for some time? does the problem only occur after taking some good vapes during a period?

It doesn't seem to matter when I vape. Whether I've just filled and try straight away, or if I leave the carto's overnight. (remember I ony got my carto's on Monday so I've not had time for much experience).
I do have a couple of flavours when I can feel the heat on my tongue as I draw in (The clearer juices I mentioned earlier) whereas the darker juices don't always do this. (I seem to be able to tell if I'm going to get a good vape based on this)

....does the problem only occur after taking some good vapes during a period? I only seem to get good vapes after taking a couple of vapes first.

hmm....i was going to suggest they weren't wicking properly. especially as your using high VG with some. flooding at the coil can also attenuate vapour due to lower heat or blocking the air. have a play. try thinning some juice samples. but also try different atties with the same juice. but you have a lot of alternative juices and hardware for someone who's been vaping a week. more variables to learn.

Thanks for the advice mate,
I prefer the convenience of carto's as I'm enjoying lots of flavours on the go at once. (and they're obviously cheaper!) It all comes down to experience, which at the moment i am lacking, but as long as I'm not doing anything wrong? Thats my main concern. I think the problem with the Boges is wicking due to thick juice. (although the clearer liquids have me baffled as they are the same consistency but vape almost perfectly all the time?!) My science lab-esque kitchen is going to be a little more science lab-esque with daily experiments taking place from now on!

My theory is:
If the juice is thick it will obviously take longer to soak in, but once it is soaked in and the Wick around the coil is wet, once vaping begins and that part of the Wick begins to dry it will obviously take a while before the juice replaces the vaped juice! I feel like a genius! Well, okay then, maybe you all deserve the credit and not me, but I do understand it. Now where's the vodka? (one for me, one for the juice bottle)

Well, I think you are a genius as well Giz What I've found wth some Boges DC's is that some take longer than other to kick in & get up to full speed
