So, I've been sitting staring at my new e-grip since it arrived 3 days ago & have just decided to juice it up & give it a blast..........So far, it's spitting, crackling & gurgling like a good 'un......I've tried adjusting airflow & wattage, but nothing is making any difference.........Getting an airy draw one minute & a tight one the next......I bought the rebuildable base as well, so am going to re-coil & wick it & see if that helps.......Meanwhile, it's back to my trusty Kayfun............

I've had eye on them for ages, just can't justify buying one yet. I nearly did, put in my FastTech basket and paid for it, but they started saying 20 days for dispatch then the Chinese New Year holiday happened and I cancelled the order and ordered 2 sub tanks instead.

from what I've read, with stock coils they say to let them bed in on lowest setting for at least a days use to get the best life from them. I love mine but I'm trying to not get another and wait for an update, maybe with readable digital settings and/or removable battery

Heads are much better recoiled (wasn't really that keen on the stock ones at all) but the rebuildable base is a whole different ball game flavour and vapour wise - providing you like an airy draw that is (I do) as you lose the adjustable airflow and its pretty loose.

Ive recoiled my standard heads since new but I only go on the lowest 2 settings to try and extend the battery life. Just ordered an rba base £9 delivered from uk, will be interested to see how it performs.

The RBA base is fantastic but it does tend to leak juice from the air inlet

Nope, upside down will be fine If the juice holes aren't properly covered by cotton then the rebuidable base has a tendency to flood, the juice then has no where to go but down the air hole. Upside down however the juice has no access to the coil and therefor will remain in the tank.

Just received RBA deck, great service from cambridge vaping and only £8.76 with recorded delivery.
Covering all 4 holes is a bit of a mission init. If it gets too much of a faff Ill be putting a couple of dabs of solder over the 2 inaccessible holes and open the other 2 up slightly.
Its on parr with the original cotton rewicked heads at lower watts but does out perform it at the higher watts. Im thinking a slightly bigger bore coil in the original heads may be the way to go for me as its a wee bit of an airy draw..
