A bargain for sure, right side of £100 probably aint far off the cost of the parts. Watching this build, planing a mosfet squonk build meself at some point.

I'll keep an eye on this thread.

I'm sooo tempted to remod my Hammond 1590b to incorporate squonkage, but it's working so well as it is that it does not want me ham-fistedly mangling it A DNA40 squonker is a superb idea though, looking forward to the outcome of your ministrations @windows.

Well ive just about got everything on my parts list. Wouldn't mind some opinions on what shape squeeze hole to cut in the door, was thinking thumb sized oval might look ok.

I'd go for similar to the reo mods squeeze gaps and only on one side.
Will it have a catch cup or flat fdv 510?

Ooh - just noticed this I'd definitely be interested in one @windows The squonk hole on the Reo is 22m high which I would say is a minimum - what shape you make it is not critical from a functional point of view I would think, so go with what you think looks best would be my suggestion Some BF mods have the squonk hole cut into a corner which can also work well if the fire button is on the top.

Cheers for the info dave i think I'll keep it basic with a hole in the front until ive built the first one. Dont want to run before i can walk. Also ive just realised i dont even own a squonking atty to test it
