Can't really add anything apart from the fact that steeping really does level off flavours and enables them all to blend properly. I find that young flavours do sometimes have a peppery taste, but this disappears in time, leaving a good flavour.
The best method is to mix some up every couple of weeks, and then after a month or 6 weeks you will always have a stock of juice that is ready to vape.
