I had a great one from the bank about a year ago, we'd paid in some cheques but knew they wouldn't clear in time for the mortgage payment to come out so I went and paid in £800 in cash the day before the DD was due.... they didn't pay the DD  When I phoned to check what had happened I was told that cash can take 3 days to reach your account!!!! SINCE WHEN?  I of course told them that it wasn't really sporting to behave in that fashion (or words that have the same meaning) and eventually they agreed to cover the charges that both they and the mortgage company had imposed |
