After being with the iPhone since its launch I maybe making the momentous decision to move to an android. I have been specifically looking at the Motorola G with you can get unlocked for around £130.
Has anyone here had any experience with it. It has a very high buyer rating on most sites, but there is quite a long thread on the motorola website that seems to indicate a memory issue.
Thanks
Nick
PS not meant to be a iOS vs android debate. I want to go SIM only and can't really afford to pay for a high end phone either Android or Apple, and Apple don't make a cheap phone

The Moto G is a great phone. I'd get either the Moto G 4G or the Moto G second Gen. Only difference is screen size so if it doesn't bother you get the 4.5" 4G as it's cheaper. There are a few models Original Moto g (3G only. No SD card slot 4.5" screen) Moto G 4G (4G. SD card slot. 4.5" screen). Moto G Second Gen (5" screen. 3G only. Duel sim SD card slot) Moto G second Gen 4G (as above but with 4G) I'd personally get the Moto G 4G with the 4.5" screen. It has a higher pixel density so the screen will be a bit sharper that the 5" models. Besides that and the second gen having a better camera they are identical. I personally don't feel the second gen is worth the extra over the 4G. www.gsmarena.com/compare.php3?idPhone1=6355&idPhone2=6991I have an iPhone 5. Back in January I bought a Moto G. The battery is great. It handled everything I threw at it without missing a beat. The camera isn't amazing. But it's passable. It's a lot of phone for the money and IMHO the best budget phone on the market right now. I can't think of another phone that comes close for that money. Keep an eye on tesco. They often have vouchers and offers. Unllock codes are around £2 on eBay (search one of the many Moto G threads on HUKD for links). I paid £95 for the 4G in White. Unfortunately it also taught me that I really don't like android. So three weeks later I returned it and am back using my iPhone 5. I want a new phone but I don't like the size of the iPhone 6. I think it's too big. I refuse to buy a 5s because I have a 5 and if feel I was buying the same phone for a second time. And I don't like android. So I'm crossing my fingers Apple release an updated 4" phone come September time.

Saw a Moto G today.
Now, that (coming from bottom end Androids) is QUITE a phone.
I am SO getting one. Sim free (of course).
Can I use the 4G if I have a basic £15 p/m deal including my phone and airtime? I do visit 4G areas now and again....
