Right, the AW IMR 2000mah batteries are about .5 of a mm too long for the Lavatube, I resolved this with a thin O-Ring that is virtually invisible when fitted so no problems there and they fit the provari with the extended end cap without any issues or O-Rings The 2000 batteries are about 1mm taller than the 1600s For me, they are what I'll be buying from now on

on experience over time which ones are we saying are best for a long life ie take the most charges. i need to get 2 maybe 3 for the touchwood i have coming. i understand the mah, but bearing in mind the price difference can it be justified. oh and they need to fit the touchwood, some are apparently 5mm longer and wont fit. ive been using AWs and there still great after a years use, but if theres something better/cheaper and known genuine i dont mind giving them a go.

thanks blakey, thats a 1/4 the price of what they are here for the cheapest AWs www.ledfiretorches.co.uk/batteries-chargers/rechargeable-cr-123-li-ion-batteries.htmlbut are they protected?. and do/should they fit in here www.ledfiretorches.co.uk/ultrafire-wf139-charger-c-w-r123-spacers.html it states 18650 so i assume yes but i read i think on ukv that some wont fit as there 5mm longer. there are few others on the first link that maybe worth considering. i like this company, i had a very bad experience a year back and the boss here spoke to me at length regarding chargers and assured me 100% his chargers and all his products come direct from the manufacturers. i know anyone can say that but he really did sound the real deal, he talked me out of a the pila as he said the ultrafire for my needs were safe enough and the pila was as much about conditioning as safety. the mojo republic ones are a great price though. if you ever have the misfortune to see one of these blow you will know why i dont mind paying a bit more to know the brand and be fairly confident they are genuine. raggy.............

Personally I am sticking with the AW’s. I cannot speak from experience for their longevity, but they have a fantastic track record and if you buy them direct the price is pretty good too. What I have found is that they are very consistent. Their mAh rating is accurate, they all charge up to within .02 of a volt the same and they also discharge at the same rate. I use two 14500’s in one mod and when I take them out to charge they have both run down to nearly exactly the same level – this has not been the case with other batteries I have used. As for chargers, well I don’t regret investing in a Pila, but that’s another story!

i agree i will be sticking too AWs but places ive read seem to say IMRs (orange) rather than the PCBs (black) but the IMRs dont seem to have higher MAh. one other thing i noticed yesterday was that this charger www.ledfiretorches.co.uk/ultrafire-wf139-charger-c-w-r123-spacers.html which i have recommends PCB batteries or does it mean recommended for PCB batteries. raggy........
