On my 3rd week now, yesterday for some reason my mouth felt awful, dry and felt like I had gone to bed without cleaning my teeth, I know I had done. Have made sure that I have a glass of water by my bed in case I felt thirsty, woke up a few times as I felt so dry and had a drink. Yesterday morning when I got up, I wasn't really tasting much, tea, coffee, food or when vaping, was vaping my usual menthol during the day, but for some reason I wasn't getting that "ooooo" from it. I think the phrase "bottom of a budgies cage" was appropriate Got home and changed cartridges and tried some cherry menthol, same thing, plenty of vapor but not much in the taste stakes. But this morning back to normal, the menthol tastes good and mouth is back to normal. Has anyone else had this?

I've had this. It seems to come and go though.
Are you drinking plenty of water? Vaping can dry your mouth out quite a bit. I've had to up my water intake since vaping. I always try to have a glass of water before bed as well.

I have upped my water intake a lot Steve, always have a glass next to the bed of a night as well as alternating between my usual tea and coffee with a glass of water, so for each cup of tea (herbal or normal) I will have a large glass of water and the same with coffee, I'd follow shortly after that with water. Have a bottle of water in my bag to drink on the go. After cleaning teeth I always use a floride mouthwash. The only way I can describe it is as if I'd been out the night before and come home and not cleaned my teeth, and it was like that sensation, I kept breathing into my hand to see if there was any bad breath and of course my mouth felt so dry, even though I was up and down filling my glass with water, every 5 mins

around the 3rd week without smoking our taste buds go a bit crazy where nothing tastes any good (only thing i could taste was menthol)... this will pass while they are coming back to life and within a few days your sense of taste and smell will be better than ever drink enough water and give your tongue a brush and look forward to having improved senses

Taste buds can take a while to recover after years of cigarette abuse. I think it took me around six weeks before I stopped having that furry mouth feeling.
So don't worry it's just your mouth recovering.
As for tasting, I think you'll find that in the first 3 months you will get an odd day when nothing tastes right, or you can't taste anything at all. This will pass though.
