Funky looking cigs lol
Some times these reviews make me think that if the people in the pod casts are suppossed to be the "experts" on the thing they are talking about .... how little do they know about everythign else they are talking about lol
Although I may want to print my own food lol

I have it on good authority that these two are pretty famous in their field! It certainly seems strange they don't appear to know anything about the e-cig and treat it as rather a joke/novelty item. Still, it's good that they don't totally reject it as no good. Fox

I just saw the e-cig part. It's quite apparent that they were just trying one out for the first time and that they know very little to nothing about the e-cig. That's ok, though, at least they didn't call it junk. I think I just repeated what Foxy said. lol.

When I saw the title of this thread, I thought it was about the TV switch over! Sore subject. Those two haven't got a clue, they were calling it smoking and saying you couldn't quit with it

Anne, you are going from analog to digital tv too? We did that a couple of years ago and while the signals on the channels are sharp and clear, I can't get all of the channels that I used to get, without putting up an outdoor antenna and I'm not about to do that.
Thank goodness that I have a cable connection on the big tv in the living room.

Yes, we are Jerry. Most of the UK has already changed over. It's only Tyne and the South (where I am) that hasn't changed yet (I think), apart from one channel. It's changing here on the 22nd of this month. I can't afford new equipment and can't see the point in it. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. >

You shouldn't need a new aerial, just a digibox - once they switch they willl boost the signal power, so your existing aerial will work.
I happen to live in a near TV blackspot, I used to wonder why there were so many satellite dishes in the neighbourhood, until I got one. I've been using satellite for many years and mostly UK TV free, so I'm not fussed either way.
If I want to watch something, I get it on iPlayer/4OD etc.

The boosting of the signal was supposed to happen here, Dom. I don't think they were boosted, as I could get about 10 stations, when we were analog and now I can only get 3. If the signals aren't strong, then I get a no signal message. It's not like the "old days", when I could fiddle with the antenna and pull in a weak station, with a good enough signal.
Why the change? Digital uses less bandwidth than analog does, so that frees up more frequencies for the FCC to sell off, here in the U.S.

We have Sky TV in the front room, so that's fine, no problem. It's the dining room TV. OH and I don't like the same programmes, so I have to watch mine in the dining room on the smaller TV. It's digital freeview HD ready (which I won't be bothering with) and I have an indoor electric powered digital aerial as high as it'll go on the cabinet above the TV. But I can't pick up any digital channels. The aerial wasn't cheap either, don't want to have to start paying out for a box when we're both unemployed and already have freeview on the TV anyway.

Anne, you will need a digital converter box, if you want to get the digital channels and if it's like here, all the channels will be digital, when the conversion takes place.
We have hijacked Foxy's thread. Sorry Foxy, I will be quiet now.

Foxy knows how thread subjects go round in circles Jerry! What's a digital converter box?

It converts the incoming digital signal to analog, so you can see it on your analog tv. Are you sure that Foxy will understand?
