Yup - they've definitely been a-harvesting (perhaps he purchased a script which will harvest forums for them, but i think manually as Proboards are pretty good at spotting your average script)
I did a little research and it looks like Mr Burns is trying to step up from hobbyist vaping, I think he's a vaper who has started a side business having found a source of Protanks (or clones) and selling them has his own subtanks by rebuilding the heads with NR-R-NR coils. I reckon that's pretty enterprising and, in isolation, laudable.
Worrisomely, he's selling tanks with 0.4 ohm coils (or 0.7 ohm, it's a little confusing if you look at his "Professor's Expert Sub Tank (0.4 Ohm)" ) and not talking about battery amp limits (he does sell purple Efest batteries but he also sells 900 MAH Ego-like batteries).
Alas he has shown extremely poor etiquette and damned his venture because of it.
If you (anyone who receives) has a Gmail address, you can choose to mark as spam after you've un-subscribed. If too many mails are consigned to the Spam folder, then it's likely that all mail from info@proffessorvape.org sent to people's Gmail addresses will fall straight into the spam folder.

Sadly as soon as an email address becomes active it is added to lists that are for sale not very good but nothing for people to worry about clairea please don't get overly concerned or angry by this it's just business as usual on the internet. Add the domain to your spam filter and problem solved usually although if they are persistent you might have to add once a week but that level of persistence is rare.

I had an email from that company a few days ago, and have never heard of them. I am pretty sure that my email addy is not visible on here, so I guess that a vendor may be selling lists. You are right Julie, your email addie is hidden so it looks like they have got them from elsewhere.

Possibly an ex vendor employee stolen mailing list. I've also had an email from them a couple of days ago.

i didn't say it had come from here only asked if anyone had heard about this company as they sent me an email and I had never visited site before or heard about them, I am on a few forums, subscribe to a few sites, so yes he could have got email address from another vendor either bought or stolen, I just didn't want my email showing on here for all and sundry and that's where the confusion started plus I asked if anyone else was getting spammed, I had trouble taking my email down couldn't see the box with it written in on my iPad for some reason, maybe if I had used laptop would have seen it, I know about spam but it doesn't go into spam via iPad or mobile, only when I use outlook on laptop does that happen. I,m not overly concerned just annoys me that's all I have enough emails to sift out and through don't need others, Just thought others would like to know a company was spamming people to try and get noticed it's had an adverse reaction by doing this rather than a positive one, but it's also directed traffic to their site,
I first thought it was part of nature vape actually, due to the type of coils and some of the wording

I found out a while ago how badly the address selling is and wasn't impressed at all but being honest unless your prepared to go without email there is very little we can do. My wife got absolutely bombarded with spam hundreds a day and after I talked to her the only thing she'd done was click yes to her info being known by one of the magazines she buys each week for the recipes and puzzles she had no idea that opened her up to get all the spam.

If ever you see that an online vendor you use is closing down always make sure you either delete your account or change your details to something made up.
No matter how good a vendor may be, I don't doubt they would sell a database for a few extra squids when they close. Although we would all prefer to think they wouldn't.

On top of that, if a company sold as a going concern then the prospect database is often fair game. If the company goes into administration, then the prospect database is considered an asset....
