Arrived today and I must say I'm gobsmacked. First head was DOA. Second head, X1 0.5ohm was primed and straight back in. This tank really is good. Have a build ready for when the tank empties (pretty soon) so I'll compare it with my semi-retired fogger So cheap too (for what it is). I'm a happy bunny!! My first head was soa as well, also make sure your base base the silicone ring otherwise it leaks a lot

Has anyone else noticed a tighter draw with the RBA deck? To me the airflow is a lot better with the prebuilt heads? Yeah i prefer the prebuilt heads too, plus if i can get away with single coiling i will take that option, only used the RBA head once myself been recoiling the stock heads since. Just happened upon this old thread after googling about the possibility of rebuilding stock heads for the Smok VCT. Just wondering what your thoughts are on this now a few months down the line Get Off My Cloud? Most other places i've read anything about this people seem to be saying it's not possible but as far as i can see it doesn't seem much more hard than rebuilding an old style kanger head.

Really need NR-R-NR wire for rebuilding the standard heads - available from FT but I've yet to find any as low as 0.5 Ohm.
I make a head last a month by just rewicking when needed.

I got some premade nr-r-nr coils from FT from ages ago think they 1.8ohm. Take it the bung is made of rubber and prone to burning?

Use two and make a parallel coil ? It's possible, but you'd need to wick both coils through the same pair of holes. TBH I'm grateful for 1 month per head I got some premade nr-r-nr coils from FT from ages ago think they 1.8ohm. Take it the bung is made of rubber and prone to burning? With kanthal if you wrap for 0.5Ohms you can definitely taste rubber. If you stay above say 0.8 you may be okay, but that's untested.

Cheers for the info, can you not get sillicone bungs like you can for the old kanger heads? As this seemed to solve that problem with them

I haven't bought the tank yet, just doing my research before i commit any pennies to it. I do like to be as self sufficient as possible with these sort of things. Don't suppose you know the dimensions of the rubber bung / gromet do you Ripshod?

Just got a VCT. Loaded up with a Ni200 .5 head, on my M80 with temp control. Great vape. The Ni heads don't have the adjustable flow shutter so not sure how much difference that makes with the kanthal heads. Really enjoying it so far, but the occasional spit. It will be interesting to see how long each head lasts.
