Control is airing on Film4 at 1.10am Wednesday Morning. Worth recording.

Good film, although I think "24 hour Party People" better captures Joy Division and that whole era...

Also, whilst Joy Division heralded from Salford, the opening scenes of the film were made at a (now demolished) block of council towers that are around 10 minutes walk from where I live. Gregory Court, ah the memories of Saturday night scooshes we had in those flats  It's also right next to the world, well Nottnum famous Savoy cinema, one of the few surviving from the pre-multiplex era. The filmed flats are in the background.  |
