I doubt that will make a blind bit of difference because it's not a battery, it has no USB port and does not have a charging module so that warranty wouldn't apply on this product.

You really should be well covered by this as it covers you for goods that are dangerous or unsafe, which this item is.

If they don't address a dangerous product problem tell them you will report them to trading standards for selling dangerous goods as advised on the citizens advice website, nobody wants a trading standards report.

Also check the packaging the kbox came in to see if there is some warranty information on it.

good call the only thing I can notice that ukecigstore could defend themselves is the following from sales of goods act:

-the goods have lasted for as long as could reasonably be expected.

on ukecigstore website warranty section for variable voltage mods they state:


These items come with a one month guarantee and have a life expectancy of 3-6 months. This does not affect your statutory rights. The guarantee covers any manufacturer defects and covers any repairs, or replacements, if deemed to be faulty or beyond repair. If the product has been damaged in any way by the customer we reserve the right to refuse a refund or return

They can put any blurb they like on their site but it is legally meaningless, store policies do not overrule the law.
If taken to small claims court the onus would be on them to provide evidence of how they arrive at their definition of reasonable length of time it's not on you to provide evidence to show otherwise.
Their definition of reasonable holds no weight legally unless they can provide evidence to support it.
The onus would also be on them to provide proof the goods were not faulty when they sold them not on you to prove they were.

Probably also wouldn't harm to drop a hint about contacting the local press that you were sold a product with a dangerous defect.
B&M stores rely on footfall which gives them a limited customer base so negative press could really impact their ability to run as a business unlike online where there is a never ending supply of unsuspecting customers from all over the country or further.

To be honest though i doubt they'll quibble much as you're visiting the store in person, it's always much easier to fob off customers by phone or email, but less likely to quibble in person especially in a store in front of other potential customers over a £25 product.

With all due respect, given their past history regarding trading & customer service, why on earth did you buy from them again in the first place, when there are many trusted & reliable vendors mentioned & verified on the forum?.............However, that aside, good luck with getting it sorted & I hope you get a satisfactory result..............

Just left the store with a new kboX.

I explained what happened, they tested on themselves and grabbed a new box straight away And tested that one as well.

I am happy with the result and there were no problems (shoots his Ak-47 in the air from happiness).

I do hope things like this won't happen again and future customers won't have to go through any tough times with them.

Agree it takes a lot to harm a company online like theirs especially when they are consistently at the top of search results when looking for vaping gear.

A question.
How are you getting on with the Kbox? I'm thinking about getting one but it's doubtful I'll use any setting under 25watts, do you use the higher settings?

It was a trip! I live near bromley and normally I would of taken jubilee or hammersmith line to wembley park but they had engineering work going on so had to take bakerloo then take a bus.... too long but it was worth it.

It is a very simple mod, the outside is all made from a solid piece of metal. Sort of form follow function design

As to functionality... as I said simple 5 x push to on/off, one button to change the wattage in increments of 5 Watts. It also displays how much battery is left.


Apart from the little fault I had with it I think it can be a good device. I still prefer my Smok bec pro ^^
