Vapefest 2015. Payment for Goods???

Hi Peeps. Last year at Vapefest it was all cash sales.

Will there be a facility with some high end mod venders to use Bankers/Credit card. ???

Need to prepare for this "great" event.

Even have mobile internet then they could have a private section of their site to take payments from PayPal or CC you could use on their stall.

VapingBad how safe is this mobile internet ??, I would not be happy putting any of my bankers/card details on a portable internet terminal ?

Still saving my 2p pieces, close on £50 saved already for Vapefest (hope VE Jason has strong bag).

As safe as any WiFi network, not completely safe by any means but good enough for the banks, PayPal and most payment systems have a check box to say it's a public computer and you would have tot trust that the vendor was not running key logging software etc.

The Festival site is less than a mile from the heart of Shrewsbury which has an abundance of free cash points - see here. The 10 minutes to and the 10 minutes from the nearest hole in the wall might give you enough pause for thought to fully consider your prospective purchase...

I for one am glad that they don't take cards, it'll be a long walk home with just my nice new shineys for company.

Last year I paid for my VTR , I4 , batteries and juice from Vapor-Z via paypal and I did it all while sitting down and chatting with the guys and girls that were there with Vapor-Z . I even left my new batteries on charge with Tan , while I was looking around the rest of the show and picked them up at the end of the day.I had no problems at all.I did all this via my mobile.

So , in theory it's possible to do.

I believe there is broadband for the vendors? ukric, can you confirm please? If there is, is it secure?

Assuming that's the case, then the PDQ machines that we use only need broadband and power to work, so the Vanilla Vapes stand will have the ability to take card payments

There isn't specifically. There is some wireless on site but it will depend where you're based as to whether there is signal. I can't confirm at this stage if it's secure. Vendors who took card/PayPal last year did so through mobile access.
There will of course be power.
