Hi one and all, can someone please tell me if using nickel wire is ok ? Yes I know many use it but I'm concerned about the fumes that must burn off the wire. Do you taste it, is it harsh ? Thanks in advance

Thanks in advance This nickel fume stuff comes from people conflating health issues with workers using nickel in welding or foundry work, as you can probably guess the temperature the nickel is heated and gives of vapour at are far higher than they will ever reach in a mod. Given that Evolv researched temperature limiting boards to negate the possible issue of dangerous chemical production from overheating eliquid it's hardly going to make sense for them to use a metal wire that will produce fumes at the temperature the coils work at. Nickel is used in stainless steel for example precisely because it has excellent anti oxidation properties.

I have not noticed any taste or fumes off Nickel wire ( I take it your planning or are using it in a temp control mod) and I use both Ni200 wire to recoil and use the Kanger Ni200 Occ.
