take cotton out and heat coil so it clears crud off and won't be black. When you replace wick.... Poke cotton through coil then put the cylinder looking thing back on with the cotton ends poking out, cut cotton just a little above cylinder, with a small pointed object poke cotton in and push it against the rba base so you can see juice flow holes (use bit of juice to get wick to stay against rba base. Hope it makes sense

also, if it's a struggle to remove the existing wick, just fire up the deck and it will burn though the cotton then tease out with tweezers.

#1 are you dripping 4-5 drops of juice onto the coil/wick before loading the rba head, this primes the wick and ensures it starts life saturated with juice, if your not doing this and the wick is slightly over tight in the coils it can take some time for the juice to penetrate the wick completely which can result in a dry hit if puffed too soon after building??

some atty's the cthulu or whatever its called for example do benefit from a bit of wick poked into the juice channels but the subtank rba has very very small channels and only 2, so a lil wick in em can actually work against you and bottleneck the flow up into the wick. some folk have taken dremil type tools and opened up the juice channels making them deeper..
imho you want a fluffy uncompacted wick sat arround the juice channel top so the juice can enter the vape chamber and then be 'dammed' by the saturated wick to stop flooding the chamber and leaking out the air in vent, if that makes sense??
